Lung-health startup Respira Labs inhales $2.8M to help respiration patients breathe easier

Respira Labs has obtained funding from Latin America-focused VC fund Zentynel Frontier Investments, together with academic incubation investors VentureWell, mission-driven impact investor ImpactAssets and some additional angels from the United States and Latin America. On top of that, an additional $1.8 million in grants to continue building their Sylvee device was awarded by the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR), National Science Foundation (NSF) and National Institutes for Health (NIH). The company has also been granted three patents for its technology, which can help patients with lung diseases keep track of their lung capacity, volume of air trapped and presence of COPD. The investors have great expectations on this cutting edge technology and its potential in a post-COVID world.
